The opening

ART LIGHT DISTRICT #3 opens on Thursday evening in the Oberhafen train depot. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the exhibition will be officially opened with a short welcome address at 7:30 PM. Immediately following the opening will be "Bass & Drums"—an energetic live performance by René Mertens on electric bass and drums.
The music then seamlessly transitions into an audiovisual light show: “Blue Systems” by Dani Miranda and Yulia Popova combines light, space and sound into an immersive overall experience.
The opening reception marks the start of four days full of art and culture – and above all, an evening for coming together, discovering and exchanging ideas.

Bass & Drums
In “Bass & Drums”, René Mertens’ electric bass and Peter Rothe’s drums come together. The performance thrives on powerful rhythms, experimental sounds, and the direct interplay between the two musicians – energetic, raw, and atmospheric all at once.
Blue Systems
“Blue Systems” is an audiovisual light installation by Dani Miranda and Yulia Popova that reinterprets water through moving LED light elements. During the opening, the installation will be staged live and synchronized with music by René Mertens – creating a unified work of art from light, space, and sound.
